My daughter’s cat hates her nails being trimmed….if she even thinks that you are going to do it she hides inside my recliner. If we pick her up to do it, she will claw her way out of our arms. Leaving us with major scratches, her terrified….and under the recliner. We tried the wrapping her up in a towel but she just would get out. We didn’t want to have to take her to the vet constantly to get it done so I got this. Well, it works!! It took awhile to figure out the best way to get her in….because again she would just freak and run or claw and run. So here is how we did it. We put out her wet food because it is her favorite. While she is eating I put the neck part with velcro around her neck. Once that is around her neck she can’t move because the bag is blocking her legs. I then put her in the bag and I can zip it up. My daughter holds her like a baby so I can get her paws out, and trim her nails. Of course giving her lots of love and gentle praise. We are really glad we got this….her nails were starting to snag everywhere and we didn’t want her to hurt herself pulling to unhook them.

Bought this for my two cats who are super fidgety when it comes to teeth cleaning, December 30, 2014

Bought this for my two cats who are super fidgety when it comes to teeth cleaning. I have one 10lb cat and one 7lb cat. On the 10 pound cat it is a little snug but still zips up completely, so no problem.

For me this work best if I open it up, place the cat on it, close the neck piece then zip of the body.

The first couple of times I put them in there I just gave treats to help them get used to it..

Once they are in they cant get out! One of my cats did manage to roll away though…lol So make sure you don’t allow them to roll off something high.

I bought a medium kitty straight-jacket because my cat’s weight fell in the range listed in the description. I couldn’t get the zipper closed around him all the way, though, because it wasn’t big enough. My son and I did manage to get enough of it on him to do the job. Cat’s ears have been medicated and it was painless for us (a BIG plus as we have a psycho cat from you-know-where). The cat didn’t get upset like we thought he would and the humans didn’t have to get stitches, either.

Now we have 3 more cats to medicate… and then we get to do it again in a few days… so it will get a workout!

Word of advice to users: let your cats sleep on the bag and play with it for a few days before trying to put them in it — your life will be easier. We laid it over the cat and sort of put him in it while we scratched his ears and chin and then let him out. If you acclimate your cat to it and make it a pleasurable experience for them it’s not that hard to use. We worked on it for about a week before actually zipping it up (well, as much as we could).
