   Did not buy this on Amazon but at my local store. This litter does clump – although I think the clumps break apart easier than other litters when scooping them out. It has a nice odor although I prefer odor free litter’s and there is not an option for this. It does keep the kitty order down which is important. It’s nice to have the lighter weight as I am constantly hauling litter upstairs. What I don’t like and the reason I won’t buy this again and give this 3 stars is that it is TERRIBLE for tracking. Once of the worst litter’s I’ve used for getting everywhere – perhaps the lighter weight and very small grain sizes help it stick to kitties paws.

   Totally bummed. I am a big fan of Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal (regular-weight) Multi-Cat litter. That stuff works great – controls odors, seems to clump well, well tolerated by my cats, etc. Saw it was now available in a “lightweight” formula and was excited not to have to lift so many heavy boxes anymore. Boy, am I disappointed.

   1. It might be so much lighter in weight because there is so much less of it in the box. I had a non-lightweight box on hand to compare to…it’s not just lighter, the box itself is only half-full. That’s right…you’re paying for air.

   2. It is powerfully scented. While the regular weight “multicat” version (the ‘red’ box, not the blue [scented] box) had a light scent to it, this stuff comes on STRONG, much stronger than the old litter smelled, and it’s not a pleasing clean scent either. I’m crossing my fingers it doesn’t drive my older cat away from the litter box.

   3. The litter itself is very finely ground and very dark colored. It tracks terribly.

   Needless to say, I am waiting to go through this stuff and then I’ll return to the “heavy” kind….even though it’s tougher to lift, it seems so much better!

   So disappointed. One box of light weight only filled one of my two large litter boxes. There’s little to no dust. It’s a very fine dark sand. Strong, off putting scent. Clumps fall apart when scooped. This litter is EVERYWHERE. It tracks like crazy, sticks between my cats toes and on their long fur. It’s in their water bowls (they tend to dip their paws in), in my bed, on my furniture. It’s hard to sweep because it’s so fine. What a mess. Worst thing, one of my cats immediately peed on the floor. They usually have no problem with litter brand changes. This has to be thrown out.
