   First of all, I think this is the most effective odor control of litter on the market and I have a kitten rescue! I go through my share of litter and have tried every type and brand on the market. First of all, when you care for more than a couple of felines, odor control is a MUST! Now, we also have to be economical because who likes spending money on “toilet” items? I have discovered the most long lasting and economical way to make a Litterbox is to line the bottom of the box with an inch of crystals and then place the cheaper clay litter on top. When the cat digs and uses it, the pee flows to the bottom, where it gets absorbed amazingly by this product and virtually erases the ammonia smell. With the clay on top, usually the poo remains closer to the “top” and dries out, reducing that odor as well. Fresh Step is by far the brand to use on odor control with the crystals and clay. I have boxes that have lasted much longer than I care to share on-line, but trust me, this is the best combo for cat and owner to live in “smell” harmony! Give it a try!

   We enjoy using this product as it works well with out cat. She doesn’t pee a lot of liquid so it catches it well, and the stool is well coated enough to block the smell and makes it easy to scoop it out. I suggest this for anyone. The reason for only four stars is because it is quite dusty and when pouring it makes the air a little dusty and settles on stuff. Other than that it is great! 🙂

   I have been using this litter for the 11 years I have had my two terrorist cats. They started using it as soon as I brought them home at two months. Absolutely no odor and the cats never miss the litter box. Also, Fresh Step is reasonably priced.

   No problems until…….I ripped out the carpet and installed wood floors in the entire house except for the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. I knew my cats tracked litter on the carpet but it was not visible and I vacuumed frequently.
   Now, each of the many pieces of clay litter appear as boulders on my wood floors. I run the dust mop over all the floors every morning and it’s amazing how much litter I pick up.

   Help!!!! Is there anyone who can recommend an actual “non tracking” cat litter? If you have one that works not only will I be eternally grateful, but I will send Tommy and Timmy over to spend the weekend with you 🙂
