I’ve had this catnip mouse toy now for a couple years and my cats still love it! They get bored of toys easily and this one has stood the test of time. I’ve thrown it in the washer (after cleaning out the catnip inside) and refilled it several times. It’s been 2+ years and it still looks nearly new…even after all the abuse from my crazy cats. Easy to refill with the velcro opening and easy to clean (toss it in the washing machine). Good investment for kitty entertainment 🙂

I was going to make a little toy for my cat — knit a little mouse or something similar — and stuff it with catnip. Then I saw this little toy. It’s sturdy — I pulled the tail, ears and whiskers hard but they didn’t come off. The cat can carry it in her mouth and it’s light enough to go pretty far when she bats it.
My cat has gone bonkers for this little thing, I’m happy and she’s happy. She races all over the house with it, plays football with it, carries it around and snuggles with it. Can’t say better than that!

My cat seems to not care much about toys. She is only entertained for a few moments by those feathers on a string, doesn’t care for those jingly balls, and hasn’t responded to other stuffed toys or “cat pillows”, no matter how much cat nip I shove inside them. This mouse however is her FAVORITE. It’s the only toy where I have seen her truly wrestling all over until she’s tired out. Now, the first Madcap Mouse I had had kind of a sheepskin-esque material on the outside. The cat loved it and It lasted a few months before she finally tore through the head and ripped the stuffing out. I bought this one which has a little fluffier outside material, and she still loves it. She tears through these mice pretty quickly because she 1) has her claws and 2) is definitely wrestling/chewing it with all she’s got. But for under $4, I’d say that’s a good lifespan for a toy that truly keeps my kitty entertained and exercises her hunting instincts.
