   My cats are fairly fickle when it comes to toys (and everything else as well), turning their noses up at most feathered or furred offerings I try to bestow upon them. And while these Wrestle Buddy toys were not a revelation to them, my cats were still interested in them (which, as any cat owner knows, can be a rare occurrence). They were especially interested after I put fresh catnip in the pouch! One of my cats, Pippie, liked the crinkle noise and would track my hand as I waved one of the toys around, crinkling it. He ended up playing with them the most, chasing after them when I threw them across the room.

   The quality on these isn’t bad; the stitching seems strong and the fur is very soft. The eyes are not secured on very well, but they aren’t plastic, and plastic eyes can be dangerous when they are inevitably ripped off as has happened to many a cat toy before. However, I do think they are much too expensive for just the two toys ($16.99 at the time of this review). They are also a bit too large, so perhaps a three pack of toys about 2/3 the size of these would be perfect.

   You can see in the picture that when I took the toys to the table to photograph them, Pippie followed me. I had a tough time taking those pictures, since his big head kept getting in the way!

   If these seem like the kind of toys your cats would like, and the high price point doesn’t bother you, give them a try and see how your cats fare with them.

   Update 10/24/2015:

   My cats still play with these toys occasionally, and as any cat owner knows that is a pretty big deal! They play with them without my prompting as well; they like to pick them up and throw them around the room, or grab one and do the back leg kicking thing. The toys have both held up well under all the abuse, and while I still think they’re a bit expensive, I do recommend them more now that I’ve seen my cats play with them on their own these past few months.

   I recently received this toy for review and although my cats didn’t care for it, my dogs seem to love it. Let me say that my cats are not huge into toys. They play with their toy mice and a few other things but aren’t really into toys. I thought I would give this a try since it had the built in cat nip pouch and honestly, what cat doesn’t love their nip? This toy is pretty good in length and very solf to the touch. Inside, there is crinkly paper and a small pouch on the side to insert the catnip. It was, however, a little messy to get the nip inside. The pouch maybe could be made a little differently, but I was able to get enough cat nip inside to get my cats (I have two of them) interested. The older cat didn’t want to mess around with any toy, he just wanted the nip. He’s an addict. The younger cat rolled around with the toy for a little bit and seemed to sort of play with it but then she lost interest and went to go lick herself. The dogs on the other hand, loved this toy! As soon as they heard the crinkle of the toys, they both came running. I gave them one to play with (sans the nip) and they have a blast tug on it, throwing it up in the air and playing fetch with it. So, if you have picky cats like me, this may not be the toy for you, but give it a shot and if all else fails, let Fido play with it, as they will love the crinkle sound and these toys have no filling to spread throughout the house 🙂 I will keep trying to get the cats to play with their toy, but I know for sure, the dogs will at least play with theirs.

   Very cute cat toys! They are the perfect size for a cat. They are about as long as my hand. My cat loved that they crinkled when she played with them. The catnip that comes with them is already inside them in a tiny mesh bag. It did not seem like much catnip but it seemed to be enough for her! It is easy to refill with catnip, just open the velcro side. The velcro seemed to stay colosed through all her playing. The quality is good, I can see them holding up for a while.
