   I have a cat that chews everything, and he really loved this pretzel chew. The only problem is that he chewed a hole in it within about 5 minutes, and he was frothing at the mouth he was getting so into it, so I didn’t notice that he actually chewed a piece off and ate it. Not good!

   If your cat isn’t dedicated to destroying it, this would make a great toy. If the webbing was more sturdy I’d give it five stars, but with an aggressive chewer like I’ve got, I’m going to keep looking…

   It’s a great idea, but my cat simply will not chew on it. She does like to bat it around and shove it under things, so at least it does get played with. The catnip smell wears off very quickly after taking it out of the packaging so I would definitely “marinate” it in a baggy with catnip or get some spray to keep it fresh and interesting if the catnip smell is important to you. It is also very tiny-around the size of a standard sticky note, maybe a tiny bit smaller, for reference.

   There are very few toys my cat likes to play with. One is the Petstages pretzel-shaped chew. He literally ‘flosses’ after every meal and seeks this out at all hours just to satisfy his need to chomp on something. He has never chewed through one of these toys, although after a while it gets a little stiff from tarter and saliva build-up, which is a good indicator that it is time to get a new one. BTW I cut the label completely off before using and often tie an elastic string to it so I can dangle it for him to chase when he is looking for interaction. Otherwise he is a self-starter with this toy and loves it.
