   Our (13 year old male cat) had been having thyroid problems for a few years. We had managed with the pills fine for a year before his condition began to drastically worsen. He dropped weight rapidly, his coat looked terrible, he began sleeping probably 20 hours a day and was not the same animal he had been. After numerous (more than 10) trips to the vet (and here I am going to tell people to stay away from Banfield: they are great for emergencies or need a vet who works weekends but that’s about it) thyroid tests, medication increases (4 Mg a day), x rays, you name it we did it. We finally opted to go for visit to another vet who suggested we try this food, they even gave us several free samples to make sure he would eat it. The change has been amazing!!! We weaned him off the tablet medication his thyroid is stable and he is doing great on the food!!! Granted he can’t have any more cooked chicken or lunch meat from my husband but he looks amazing and is acting like his old self again!!! I would suggest this to anyone!!! Is it perfect for everyone probably not and it does require testing to ensure that their thyroid levels stay within “normal” ranges but for us it has been a miracle!!!

   The y/d diet had immediate results on my cat’s thyroid health, improving her coat and making her perky and playful in just a few days. Excellent product! Also, the transition from her regular dry food diet (and she’s a finicky eater) was also immediate. She loves it!

   Our cat, Sadie, was losing weight and energy. Our vet said her thyroid was the problem and that surgery or medication given several times a day was the answer most commonly used. All the options were costly. This product was just coming out and she said it might be an option, since it had worked on another cat with similar issues. We have had Sadie on this food for almost 2 years now and the results have been excellent. She gained weight and energy and has been doing very well. Pricey food and there are no cat treats made by the company (I wish they would think about adding that to their line), but much easier for us to give her since we simply leave a bowl out with the food, which means she eats as she wants without having to medicate her on a schedule. She went right from her old dry food to this without any complaints. This is a much lower cost option in comparison to surgery. We are starting to give her wet food as a treat, from this same product line. We recommend this highly, based on our experience.
