   I don’t usually review a product this quickly, but DANG if the deshedding tool I received at a discount for review doesn’t do a fantastic job! Since spring is coming, my cat (domestic short hair) had started to shed some of her hair. The deshedding tool is a handy little thing that helps her with the process while keeping my room clean. The metal brush of the deshedding tool can be removed for safe storage, and the brush is not sharp enough to hurt you but they WILL grab onto the hair and give your pet a nice deep grooming! My cat absolutely loves getting groomed by this; I’ve already used it on her 3 times today and have pulled out A LOT of hair from her! Her fir coat is even shinier now and she can’t stop purring while getting groomed. The hair can be cleaned off of the brush as easily as swiping against your fingers. The rubber handle adds more comfort to the grip. Do not delay, get this today!

   At first I was worried that this tool would “rake” my pets (we have two cats and a dog) or that they wouldn’t like it or that it would pull their hair. So, when Tails Pet Supply contacted me to ask me to review in exchange for an honest review, I was skeptical. At the same time, I was looking for something that would work when the long-haired kitty and the pup go outside and get the “hitch-hikers” in their hair. They come in looking like a mess. But this deshedder is very gentle and seems to comb hair out nicely. It’s also very easy to use. The blade just snapped in and I started gently combing. The dog thought he was getting a massage. The cat wasn’t as enamored but didn’t mind much, either, and it was very gentle on her. So, we really like this tool. Granted, it’s the first time we have ever used one like it.

   Is there less than one star? Not as advertised. The “teeth” are so short they only skim over the dogs hair. Very poorly made. I had a deshedding tool before (different) brand and it was great. This one is a joke. Don’t waste your money. Unless you want it for a stuffed animal and even then only a small one. Instructions say “please control your strength”…tool would snap if the “strength” needed to get to under coat was used!
