Mamie LOVES Her Zoom Groom!, April 20, 2011

Here’s a video of the Zoom Groom so you can see it in action! Mamie loves it and gives it her “paws up” approval. Ike likes it, too, but didn’t stick around long enough for the demo. I love it because it’s effective, easy to clean, and gives you bonding time with your kitty.

ETA: Two of my coworkers borrowed the Zoom Groom to see if their cats would like it. Two of the cats hated it (hissed) and one (the ragdoll) liked it. The two cats that didn’t like it apparently don’t like any kind of brush, and I think the one was still cranky from having burrs cut out of his fur after an “adventure” in the hedgerow. I would say that if your cat likes to get brushed, he or she will likely love this product. If not, then it may be a gamble.

Worth Every Penny PLUS Some, May 16, 2010

Hard to believe from looking at it, but this thing works. And when I say works I mean it works exceptionally well. Not just the kind of works like the mitt, wire brush or Furminator type products, true some of them work quite well. But I have them all and this thing outdoes them by far. Not only by results but by Cat appeal and appreciation also. Most pet shops carry these, probably charge a little more but saves on shipping charges.

Hard to believe a semisoft small rubber device with large protruding teeth on it will get out most of your cats excess hair, I know that I was very skeptical when I first saw it. That’s until I tried it, now I am a true believer.

My cat did not usually care to get brushed with the other products, particularly his tummy and tail they where a total No, No. With the Zoom Groom he loves being brushed and to my surprise we can even brush his tummy and tail with very little hastle. We found the the best time to brush him is when he first gets up and not to active yet. If he is up and about and in his high energy play mood it is still like mission imposable to brush him.

I don’t know where all the hair and fuzz comes from, it just seems to keep coming the more you brush. We brush Kitty every couple of days and the hair keeps coming. Check out my photo under customer images on the product page.

My cats coat is fairly short, and even at that the hair does fly around when brushing him. We have eliminated most of that by ever so slightly dampening the brush so the hair will tend to stick to it. Next don’t clean the hair out of the brush that often, it seems the new hair tends to accumulate on the hair that’s on the brush already instead of flying in the air. We also put newspaper around the area, and just throw them out when finished. But regardless of what you do the hair does fly, it is probably the only drawback of this brush.

If you get some hair on your furniture or clothes check this brush out –Evercare Company 2300 “Magik” Brush with Two Surfaces– it works. I put a photo under customer images on the product page check it out also after you hopefully give me a thumbs up on this review. Thanx

Update;::: I find the Zoom Groom the best to get deep down hair out, but unfortunately it does not pick all the loose hair up. I recently purchased the Love Glove Grooming Mitt for Cats and found it will pick up nearly all the leftover hair from the Zoom Groom. They work exceptionally well togeather.

I picked up one of these for my cat, who doesn’t much care to be held, have her nails cut, etcetera. However, she loves this ‘brush.’

Not only goes this magically work loose the hair, but it seems to give a good massage, and does a fairly good job of keeping the loose hair on the brush.

I’ve since purchased another of these, for a gift for my sister’s cat (who seems to shed whenever he throws his massive bulk around) and two of the Zoom Groom For Dogs for two cockers my mother owns.

In all cases, they’ve worked wonders.

However, I have found that this brush is not as easy to handle as the one that is available for dogs.

Overall, I can’t recommend this product enough; Kong sure knows how to make their products.
