   I have four small dogs, three of them log haired, none of them like to be brushed. I had never tried one of the grooming gloves but these seemed like a good place to start.

   This comes in a heavy duty type zipper bag and includes the reversible glove, instructions and another information paper. After you slide the glove on you can tighten the Velcro strap around the wrist to a more secure fit, then you just run it over your pet, easy peasy. My dogs are a little jumpy so they weren’t very sure of it at first, they will never love to be brushed but they did ok with it. I also used the other side on the couch and it did a great job pickup the hair that has been shed. It is going to be a great help as I can use this in between vacuuming days.

   I did expect it to get a little more off of the dogs. I was hoping that by using this I could help lessen the shedding and maybe it will help, that will take time to know, but I was expecting there to be a lot more coming off the animals. I did like how my pup looked after her brushing, It smoothed her out a good bit and she did look better.

   The adjustable strap is a nice touch although if a child is going to use this it might need to have a smaller closing option. Maybe some elastic as well as Velcro would help.

   I think, all in all, this is a good item if you just want something to brush your pet with. I also thing that it might make a big difference on an animal with thicker hair. My in laws have a German Sheppard mix and I will be trying it out on him. I will update then.

   I am quite impressed with this dog glove. It has a use for each side which is great for long and short hair as well as the furniture! The blue side has a rubbery texture that allows your hand moving over your dog’s surface to grab hairs that are ready to come away from the coat. You are not pulling the hairs out by the roots….only removing the ones that are going to be flyaways that end p on your furniture anyway. This not allows you to get a jump on them before they become annoying while in turn makes your pet’s coat look more smooth and shiny while at the same time allows you to love on and get lots of adoring looks and licks from your little buddy. Another benefit of this activity is that it builds trust in your animal that your hands are gentle and kind hands that protect and care for them as well as being important in examining their bodies for parasites such as fleas or ticks or signs of hair loss which could be a sign of thyroid disease. You pet will be trusting which allows you to be able to run your hands over their skin noticing right away if there is a bump or lump and being able to tell your vet how quickly it came up. There is sewn inside the mitt a strip that helps it hold to your fingers for less slipping. Once you feel like the glove is ready a quick rinse is good for easy cleanup. My next thought is to use this while shampooing an I can’t see any reason why it won’t do a wonderful job in that activity as well.
   I purchased this item at a reduced price in exchange of my trial and opinion of the product. I reserve the right to adjust my review if at any time I feel the need arises.

   Didnt work on dense curly haired dog., June 30, 2016

   This is well made and I like the pretty teal color.Even though it has Velcro around wrist closure, it is humongous on my hand. I am an adult female with small to medium hands.
   My dog is a Kerry Blue Terrier and sadly this would not get through her curly hair at all. I think it would maybe be nice for a dog with silky straight hair or no hair, like a lab. ( Ok I know labs really have hair.)
   The real, or main, teal knobby side can be used for an all over light massage which would feel good on any dog. Even though the mitt is huge there is a little strap inside you can hook your fingers under to help hold it on your hand. The other side, or gray side, Is the side that is for picking dog hair off of furniture. My dog is considered to be non shedding. Even so, I would have thought I’d pick up some hairs when using the hair catching side. But no. So I will likely not use this. I will also be reviewing the other one from same company for long haired dogs.
   I’m giving it a 2 not 1 rating because it is well made.
