   Nice pink velvet breakaway collar. The elastic breakaway length is about 1-1/2″ and fully extends to about 3″ giving the animal more than enough room to wiggle their head out of the collar should it become snagged. The collar length is a little over 11″. the collar has 12 pink rhinestones that are riveted into the under side of the collar. The collar is well stitched and the velvet fabric is very soft. I put it on my 20 lb. cat and I had to use the very last hole to buckle the collar, but I used the second to last hole when I put it on my 10 lb. chihuahua/mix. Great for small dog, kittens and adult cats. Disclosure: I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

   Originally I had given this collar 5 stars. It’s exactly as pictured, seems to be nice quality, and what I expected. However, my cat has been wearing it for about two months now, and there is definitely an issue with the collar. My cat somehow gets it caught in his mouth, specifically his bottom canines- they pierce right through the collar and he ends up literally gagged- with this being caught in his bottom canine teeth. If that makes sense. I believe it happens when he is bathing and licking his fur around his chest. I try to keep the collar as tight as possible (so it doesn’t get caught in his mouth) without it being uncomfortable, but somehow this keeps happening. It’s happened about four times in the past two months. Luckily, I work from home, so I am always here when it happens, and I’m able to help him get the collar out of his mouth, but I’ll be replacing it soon. I’m too afraid of this happening when im not around to save him!! I don’t know any cat that does not clean/groom himself, so I don’t think I would recommend this to anyone. I just don’t understand how his teeth pierce through this so easily; it’s never happened before with any other collar, so I’m inclined to think something is wrong with the integrity and/or quality of the material. I’m not very happy about this.

   Gets one star since they are pretty and the idea has merit. However these are dangerous. I ordered two for my kittens, a black and a pink. When I opened them and ran my fingers over the material I nicked my finger since the rivets holding the rhinestones were not properly smoothed down. They have jagged edges sticking up in the back of the collar. I thought maybe it was a fluke and I got a bad one so i opened the pink one and though it didn’t have as many bad rivets it did have enough jagged edges sticking out for me to put them back in their bags and return them. I will not risk my kittens with the collars that could irritate or even scratch them seriously. Quality control failed on these ones.
