   Evil kitten read the literature on his amazing new hi-tech collar specially designed to protect songbirds with its high visibility colours… so he went out and caught a pheasant instead. AN ENTIRE PHEASANT!!! So lovely stepping out of my bed straight into THAT this morning.

   Seriously, cat??

   In all seriousness though, I bought our collar a few weeks back directly from the manufacturer. It works great for its intended purpose. He hasn’t been bringing in anymore songbirds. So I’m happy and completely satisfied overall, even if HE’s still annoyed at me.

   This is an excellent product. Two months ago I bought a collar for each of my three cats, and I haven’t found a dead bird since. Last week I watched a bird hopping around in the front yard, and saw one of my cats frozen in the “stalk” position about 20′ away. The bird glanced in the cat’s direction and immediately took off: it was obvious that, wearing this collar, my cat was clearly visible to the bird. Every shelter, vet office, and wildlife rehab center should be promoting these collars.

   So far no more dead birds at my doorstep after 14 days. I put this over a stretchy buckle collar with bells on it. The bells hang out of slit where cover ends meet over collar. My only objection is the price, $6 cover/$5 shipping. It costs more like $2 to ship USPS for several of these covers. I would prefer a set of 3 for a bit lower price per cover and a lower shipping charge, or Amazon Prime. Then I would buy more and my cat would have a wardrobe of colorful collar covers. A few more designs would be nice too.
