Will kill your pets, October 13, 2013

I normally buy Sergeants flea collar for my cat, however the local stores all ran out. So I turned to Amazon to look for and I came across this product. This was such a waste of money. Within a couple days she was still scratching like crazy to the point where she had patches all round her neck. I had to then treat her for cuts. The collar also fell off due to poor construction and I have never experienced that with any other flea collars. Definitely will not buy from this manufacturer again.

    Update – May 18-2014

I wanted to give an update. Two weeks after my initial review my cat passed away from a seizure and high fever that left her brain dead. The vet said this was most likely due to the new flea collar poisoning my poor cat. I decided to research this company some more and saw where thousands of pet owners complained about Hartz products killing their cats and their dogs, especially their flea products.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FOR YOUR PET OR ANY HARTZ PRODUCTS. GO TO HARTZVICTIMS.ORG AND LEARN MORE!!!

    cat killer, August 5, 2014

Please do not buy this for your cats! I just spent $137 dollars at the vet because it made my cat sick and lethargic. My vet looked him over took off the collar and informed me they are toxic to cats and weaken their ammune system and can even kill. He is now on antibiotics and received a topical flea killer. We took him in as a stray to save his life being only about 12 weeks old and he had fleas and we almost killed him. Our older cats did not react as strongly but made them sleep allll day. After just 20 mins of taking it off he had more energy and more life in him. These are not fda approved or controlled. I should of done my research who knew something assumed harmless could be so deadly.

PLEASE please please do not use this on your babies!!! Don’t save money at the expense of your pets! It killed fleas, ticks, and almost MY CAT. I woke up to him scratching at it about a week after putting it on him and removed it to find a horrible chemical burn. This should not be sold. I nursed my kitty back to health but it was a very sad, uncomfortable process for us both.
