   Cutting our cats nails used to be a dangerous endeavor. With the muzzle on we didn’t have to worry about her teeth getting us, just the claws. She was still a handful but without the muzzle we would be paying big bucks for the vet to do the trimming several times a year. Then we got the Cat Sack. We can just have the paw being worked on out and the others are in the nylon bag where they can’t hurt us. She looks pitiful with her little executioners mask and flopping around in her kitty straight jacket but it works.

   As for the size of the nose opening for breathing, we have no worries about that. The fabric itself is breathable, the opening isn’t all that small, the muzzle doesn’t fit that tightly so air can get in around the perimeter and it is only on the cat for a few minutes.

   My cats are a bit crazy and temperamental. I saw this product and thought the idea of a cat muzzle was crazy. Who would put a muzzle on their cat? Well the answer is anyone tired of getting bitten and scratched every time they need to do one of those necessary but unpleasant task (nail trimming is where I have had success).
   I have one of those cats that removed the nail caps in a matter of hours instead of weeks, so I started my search for nail trimmers and saw this product, laughed and read the reviews. Decided to try it, and I am so glad I did.
   When you get them, they don’t look like much, but there are 3 different sizes in the package. I first tried the medium, but it was too big and my cat got it off in less then a minute. I then tried the small, and presto! It was a miracle, my crazy cat was still. I was able to trim her nails without any blood (me or her). I talk to her while she is wearing it so she stays calm. She still will pull away her paw when I grab it, but it is easy to get a hold of with the muzzle on. I am actually able to trim her nails by myself with the muzzle which is a a first for me. After I finish whatever unpleasantness I needed to achieve, I simply un-velcro the muzzle and reward my cat for being good. After she gets her reward she is fine. Before I got these when I would take care of her nails she would mope afterwards. I love this crazy product!

   This product can calm a cat, but the holes they are supposed to breathe through are rather small & after a few moments, the cat starts to freak out because they have trouble breathing. I’m going to try cutting around the end to see if enlarging the hole helps.
