    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
    I don’t love it. I haven’t even tried it.

I think my cat loves it. She only glares at me for a like a minute before she eats it. And since the switch from her old food, she follows me around the house and watches me while I sleep more. She’s either feeling particularly affectionate or particularly murderous. It’s a new year and I’m trying to be optimistic.

Good ingredients, reasonable price, kittens tolerate it, December 22, 2010

I did a bunch of research on cat foods, and realized that although wet food was recommended (no grain, more moisture), I was not available to provide my kittens the frequent feedings they would need throughout the day, so I decided that leaving out wellness kitten health dry food and supplementing that with wellness canned food for breakfast and dinner was a good compromise.

Why Wellness in particular? It has more quality muscle meat and less grain than most dry cat foods, it is one of several dry foods that are recommended by cat dieticians (do your own research on the web, you’ll see), it’s not insanely expensive, and it is widely available, both online and in local pet shops.

This approach has worked well so far. The kittens were used to an exclusive diet of Royal Canin dry food (which is awful stuff) when I took them home, so it took a few weeks of mixing the wellness dry food with Roayal Canin dry food to get them to accept it. Wellness has *much* better ingredients than Royal Canin though, so it was worth the effort. They actually got to the point where now they were sifting through the mixture of both foods to pull out just the Wellness bits, so I knew it was time to stop mixing.

Now I’ve got them on an all-wellness diet things are going very well. Their poo’s are firm (which is not the case for many bengal kittens), they enjoy the food, and I have the satisfaction of knowing that I am giving them something of really good quality.

Best Cat Food!, August 1, 2010
    By

When we adopted our cat, she had spent 9 months in a cage at the humane society. She was scrawny, cranky, and not happy. We went to an all natural pet store, and the woman suggested this type of food. At that store, we paid nearly $30 for a small bag that lasted maybe a month or two.

But, this food was like a miricle! Our cat perked up, started playing, was curious and happy. Her coat was shining. She was like a new cat.

Something else awesome? Her poop doesn’t smell nearly as bad as it did with regular, crap-filled food.

This stuff is amazing. Why only 4 stars, then? The price. This is one of the best prices I’ve found for this type of cat food, but the brand itself is very expensive. But, our cat is part of our family, it’s worth it.

Cat Gives Them 5 Stars, June 2, 2013
    By
    STORM (Kentucky) –

What the heck is in these things?! I received my purchase yesterday and hoped my cat would like them. Before I could even open them, he was seriously, seriously interested. I gave him 3 or 4 treats. Sealed the package, looked back down to see if he was eating them but they were already gone. I thought…”Good! He likes them.”. Gave him a couple more. Poof. Gone. Sealed them again, put them away, and had a seat. In seconds I hear the cabinet doors opening/shutting. (He has a habit of helping himself to whatever is in the cabinets.) I get up to check it out…he has pulled the treats out of the cabinet and is on the kitchen floor with them, scratching at the bag trying to get more. His scratching is always effective, so I realize I better put these in a drawer. I do it when he isn’t looking, yet he sniffs them out. Scratches at the drawer. Looks at me with his pitiful little eyes. Mopes around the house until I give him more. Repeats. If anyone sees this behavior, I’ll have a hard time convincing them that I don’t abuse him or something. Ridiculous.

Kitty “Crack” – our cat LOVES these things!, November 14, 2012
    By

We call these kitty “crack” around my house. We didn’t normally buy treats for our cat. His treats were little bites of turkey, chicken, salmon, or tuna etc. – whatever we were having … but we needed something to help with hairballs. These came highly recommended, so we tried them. We were shocked at how our cat acts for / over these “treats”! You’d have to see it! It’s like he’s a drug addict going bonkers for his fix. Unbelievable. He inhales them, and would eat the entire bag if we’d let him. As far as the hairballs go, I suppose they’re helping since we are no longer observing all of the hacking / choking going on that had been a common occurence. Either way, these are a huge hit with our cat. Thus far, we’ve purchased these locally for less than here on my beloved Amazon. This “review” is for Greenies Smartbites Cat Treats Chicken Hairball Control. We have not tried the tuna or other flavors to comment on.

Tasty and works!, October 26, 2012
    By
    Sylvia (California) –
    (REAL NAME)

First off, my cat HATES regular Greenies (the big crunchy ones) and won’t even try to lick them. Any flavor. But my big fluffy Himalayan was hacking up stinky furballs in unreachable places, so when I saw these at the pet store I bought them on a whim.

She loves them! I don’t think she even chews the things, she inhales them so fast. Tuna treats are ok but chicken were more popular around here. She likes these better than the Temptations treats she had before, and I am convinced that these are somewhat healthier.

The pouch recommends 12 treats a day, all at once, or even more for my big-boned cat. I usually do more like 5-6, because that many treats seems excessive (she would love it though). Either way, she hasn’t had any hairballs since. I am not positive about the causal relationship, but I suspect these did the trick. They’re great!
