   Despite the bad reviews about its ingredients, my cat just LOVES Royal Canin. We buy her Wellness CORE and Blue Buffalo, and still (to my surprise and disappointment), she prefers this over everything else. She’s been on this for her entire life, and there haven’t been any adverse effects to her coat, behavior, etc. She gets regular vet check-ups, and we’ve been told she’s perfectly healthy.

   I tried switching her over to other healthier brands, but it just doesn’t work (she is completely disinterested, not even a lick), so I’ve settled with giving her a mixture of the Royal Canin and Wellness.

   I recommend trying different things for different cats. While my cat is just fine eating her Royal Canin (augh!), other cats seem to have concerning health problems. Take care choosing the right brand for your cat, and always check with your vet!

   (BONUS: RC is much cheaper on Amazon than most pet-stores, so it’s convenient (at least with Prime) to buy my cat’s dry food off here.)

   This is the dry food version of Kitten Instinctive. I’ve used it for over a year with two kittens who are now young adults and an 8 month old special needs kitten with a critical congenital heart defect – she transitioned from the babycat canned and dry food at 16 weeks. All of my cats are from the shelter where I volunteer, and were brought in as underage kittens at about 5 weeks old. I’ve kept them on Royal Canin (which we use in our kitten nursery), and the results have been fantastic with all of them – perfect coats, weight, body fat, growth, no hairball or digestion issues – they’re happy, healthy, energetic cats despite their start as lost street orphans.

   You are what you eat.

   The saying goes for your animals. I’ve learned through the years that as i bought better and better quality foods for my pets they are healthier and less likely to shed all over my home. Cats, Dogs both benefit from this brand of dry food.

   Started my kitten on this particular formula and her coat is amazing, her stools do not have the typical horrid odor of grocery store bag brands and the so called big boys like eukanuba and purina.

   As with any food, it is up to the individual body to determine if its a right fit, for the last 3 pets I’ve had, this brand is top quality dry food.
