   After looking for an interactive toy for my smarty-pants cat, I came upon the slow feeder. I put treats and small toys inside the maze, and she dilligently works at it until it’s totally cleared of goodies. So: not just for dogs!

   I saw other reviews about how well this feeder works for a large dog like a Great Dane, but I wasn’t sure if it would work for my two little 10 lb chihuahuas. Holy crap does it work! One of my little guys is a real chow hound. He doesn’t chew his food – he vacuums it up straight into his stomach. But this thing really really slows him down. Plus, we can scatter shredded cheese in it when we leave them home alone and it keeps them busy for a long time. AND it’s dishwasher safe. I love this thing! It’s very much worth the price.

   My cat tends to eat so quickly that she vomits. This feeder is perfect! She was a bit confused the first time, but she figured it out. She has to paw the food out from between the “fingers” and it definitely slows her down. It’s fun to watch her, too. The feeder is heavy so she can’t flip it over. I should have gotten this a long time ago!
