   My kitten was an orphan that was bottle fed by hand, and when we adopted her at 8 weeks old she was suckling her fleece blanket till there was big holes in it. Well I had read that distracting them when they start to do that would help. So I bought this cat teddy thinking maybe she’d play with it. Well the second I brought it home she carried it across the room plopped it on the corner of her fleece blanket, and now only suckles that to fall asleep. It has worked out great!!! and she no longer sucks the blankets or anything else. Also if I try moving it across the room she gets mad and carries it right back. Lol! That is obviously her “Security Teddy” and she doesn’t want to do anything but cuddle n suckle it 🙂 Fine with me. The first one the seam broke fairly quickly but it must have been defective bc I easily exchanged it with no problems at Petsmart and the new one shes had almost 8 months now and no rips and this thing gets all salivary and suckled pretty hard. I’m thinking about buying a backup just incase they ever do away with this I’m not sure she will ever fall sleep without it!! At the same time I had bought her a little pink girl that was same size and barely bothered with her.

   I got a new baby kitten when she was 4weeks old, and wanted a toy that would be interesting but safe for her. I bought this as well as some padded toy cubes and some other things, and she immediately went to this one. In fact, it’s the only toy she would play with for weeks, and it’s still her favorite. She keeps all her toys in a little toybox, but this bear she always buries and hides in my dresser and she gets very possessive of it. We call it her “baby”.

   I definitely recommend this. I don’t know what it is my cat loves so much about it, because I’ve bought the Kong stuffed “mice”…same catnip and fabric and relative size…and she plays with them but she doesn’t get as protective as of this lil bear. Definitely a winner.

   Where’s the “go crazy catnip dance”? + my 3 cats ignored it, April 4, 2012

   Despite Kong’s promise of “premium North American catnip,” my eight-month-old Oliver didn’t do his usual “go crazy” catnip dance when I presented him with this cute teddy bear.

   I thought he would like the crinkly factor, since he loves anything crinkly, but he didn’t.

   My 12-year-old kitty also ignored this toy with its “premium” catnip, although she is a big catnip fan. Even at her age, she can’t resist a toy with catnip. I thought she might play with it anyway (she also can’t resist small toys able to be batted about), but she didn’t.

   My two-year-old Siamese did not play with this one, either.

   So this toy received all cat paws down in my cat household.

   There is no area in this toy to add catnip (no pouch) like in some of the Kong toys, for anyone who hasn’t seen this toy.

   On the plus side, it is a really cute teddy bear, which is why I bought it – it was kind of irresistible. But then my cats didn’t play with it, so Cute Teddeh is relegated to their toy basket.
