   Every corner in my apartment needs to be repainted. My cat rubs up against corners so much that they are stained with his kitty oils. Gross, I know. I was thrilled when I saw this product and bought it immediately. After 4 years, Pete still uses it regularly. What a happy pet!

   This Korner deserves a 5 star rating, even though it comes with a design flaw. The cheap sticky pad used to adhere the Korner to the wall sucks. The sticky pad won’t hold for long, but it will still take off the paint. My solution? I drilled screws though the plastic to attach it to the corner. I don’t bother with the catnip; my cat loves this enough without it.

   I’ve worked at veterinary clinics and with foster cats for over a decade. I’ve seen this work well for cats who don’t usually rub themselves on things, on cranky/feral/skittish cats who don’t appreciate brushing/human touch, cats who’d rub paint off the wall with their own faces because they love how much cheek rubs makes them feel and all other cats in between. I’ve ALSO seen it unpopular with ALL of those same types of cats. Cats will be cats, people.

   The only merit in negative reviews I see for this product is the poor adhesive. Totally true. The adhesive sucks. I’d also like it to be a bit longer/taller/wider to suit multi-cat homes with kitties of various heights.

   As far as the negative reviews exclaiming that your otherwise cheek-rub-loving-kitty-didn’t-like-it, I have to ask how many cats you’ve ever lived with? Cats, as we know, are a bit/a lot finicky, fickle and moody – even the most “domesticated.” Surely this product is one in at least dozens of things your cat didn’t dig even though you were certain he/she would enjoy it? Come on, folks! Cats will be cats!

   That being said, I think this product is a commendable and thoughtful effort. Needs some tweaks, but it’s an inventive and appreciated enrichment for some cats/humans and a waste of money to other humans (as a lot of other cat toys/litter boxes/scratching posts/water fountains inevitably are). Again, because cats will be cats.

   I just had to write a review when I saw there were none. My two male cats can not pass these, (I have four around my apartment), without rubbing their faces all over them. I don’t know how much grooming gets done but they really seem to enjoy them. I don’t even bother with the catnip. They just like to rub themselves, you know how cats are.
