   This is the best cat food for pure-bred Persians. My handsome boy absolutely loves this cat food. I have been feeding it to him for five years and he has a beautiful coat, never vomits hairballs, and has lots of energy. He refuses to eat anything else now, even wet food. He turns down anything that isn’t this dry food. His teeth are incredibly healthy as well and he has never had a weight problem, even though he is strictly indoor. Do yourself a favor and treat your Persian babies to the nutrition and digestive care they deserve.

   WARNING WARNING WARNING—Royal Canin has changed all its formulas [cats too] it now uses Chicken BI-PRODUCTS Meal [ which mean that, by law they now use intestines which contain fecal matter, and other lower grade bi-products] the old formula was straight chicken meal, a much cleaner safer ingredient. IF you go to the Royal Canin page you can read the updated ingredients, that have not yet been changed on amazon. For years all i have given my Persians was RC for Persians. NO MORE–they loved the product. And i am lucky that i had some product extra, and frozen, to use while i find a new food that does not have chicken poop, and other unseen nasties in it. And hope i will be able to find some my fine but at times fussy babies will love as well—*sigh* sad times.

   [UPDATE] what is even worse–the new rescue persian i have won’t eat the [3] other high dollar dry foods, out of desperation i went back to this one–the ungrateful little fuzz butt loves it! will have to add this to my review—aaaarrrrrrrggggggg…..

   We have a senior Silver Shaded Chinchilla Persian and she has been eating Royal Canin Persian Dry Cat Food since the day she joined our family as a kitten. The day she joined our family I stopped at the big pet store to pick up a few things for her and just happened to run into the Royal Canin representative. I loved all the benefits of the food for my little one and I wouldn’t need to make special trips somewhere to pick it up.

   Throughout the year we do get her groomed in a lion cut but for the majority part of the time she has her long fur coat on. We hardly ever have to pick up hairballs from spit up and we really believe it is because of this food.

   Each piece is small and almond shape – which I think she likes that it is dainty. She is very good not to over eat so we free-feed our little one but this 7-pound bag last us close to two months.

   You can see the food almost has a shine to it from the healthy oils and this only helps with her soft and beautiful coat.
