   I went shopping around for a broad probiotic for pets and I needed it to have three specific flora strains in it. The Vetri-Mega product turned up in the results. After reading the reviews, I went ahead and made the purchase of the Vetri-Mega and I couldn’t be happier with the ease of use and results. For cats, it says they should get 1/2 a capsule once per day. The capsules can be opened up easily to pour the probiotic powder onto their food before stirring it in.

   Neither of my two cats can detect it in any of the flavors of the wet foods it has been offered with. This product also mixed in just fine with the occasional water-saturated dry food they get and the cats still had no issues with detecting it or rejecting their meal. I wish I could say that about other powdered supplements I have tried. Some dissolve so badly it makes the cats sneeze when trying to eat, even if well-mixed. Not this one! The Vetri-Mega will dissolve quickly and is fine enough that the cats don’t care about it being in the food. I would definitely make the purchase again.

   Our dog was having issues with digestion and food passing too quickly. Our vet prescribed this product. For the cost of a one month supply from the vet we purchased this 4 month supply.Good value.

   My German Shepherd had a really bad itching problem, he also would get “hot spots” which are not really caused by the heat necessarily, but rather they’re open sores on his skins that become raw and scab over from excessive biting/itching on his back. We felt so bad for him and tried to give him home remedies like eggs and fresh meat with oatmeal and rice, but had no progress. We even tried Eukanuba bred specific for GSDs with no affect too, and had to resort to just treating the problem rather than cure it with an e-collar and some expensive but great working medicine we found for hot spots call Healx Soother Plus.

   Then we tried these probiotics along with Vetri-Science Probiotic Chews and wow, what a difference! It only took 3-4 days to really see results, which were reduced itching down to nearly zero, and the hot spots started to heal because he no longer felt the need to chew at them. It worked so well that we stopped feeding him the expensive food and switched over to Diamond brand Lamb and Rice which I also highly recommend.

   However, after about 2 months of treatment, my gf and I who switch off feed our GSD, forgot to give him this stuff for about 3 weeks, and sure enough his hot spots came back quickly after about a month, then we started to make sure we gave him this stuff again, and within days he was healed again. We won’t make that mistake again. By the way, we feed him about two capsules and one probiotic chew a day and he’s 90lbs but very lean muscle. Thank you Vetri-Mega!
