   Three stars because it’s cute…but we have four cats and so far they don’t seem to dig it as much as other toys we’ve purchased for less money. One cat sniffed it – walked away; one cat sniffed and then bit it – walked away; two other cats weren’t even interested in playing despite my shaking it in their faces. (Our cats are under 2 years old so still juvenile/playful.)
   Also – maybe I missed it but I don’t see where it states that you only receive ONE – the description says “assorted” which I took to mean that you get three (as shown in picture) random birdies…not one. Maybe this was my mistake but for almost $6 – I assumed I was getting a few toys – not one. Either way – even had we received three of them it seems as though they would all have gone untouched. They’re super cute but not much cat interest – and I sure as heck didn’t order feathered toys for myself – so I’m not thrilled. And yes, there were several loose feathers floating around in the box before we even pulled the toy off the cardboard packaging and more have come off since. (Just from my shaking it in kitty faces to entice interest.)

   My cat loves toys with real feathers, not the kind usually found in pet store toys. These are perfect. She wrestles with them like prey and little by little plucks out all their feathers. Very entertaining for her. Her favorite toys.

   I bought this for my 9-year-old cat Fifi because she loves feathers. Sadly, this toy doesn’t spark her interest at all. It barely even grabs her attention when sprayed with catnip (which she loves). Clearly other cat owners have had better success with their felines (see other reviews), but I had no such luck. Nonetheless, I’m constantly searching for a new toy to spoil my kitty with, and this was hardly an expensive endeavor. I’ll just end up donating it to my local cat shelter in the next great “cat toy purge” at my house.
