   The main (Feature) that I bought it for was:
   “Eliminates mats, tangles and loose hair”.
   This product only removed a very small amount of hair from my ungroomed, heavily shedding cat. It’s useless.

   I was hoping my cats wouldn’t mind this glove, but they seem to really dislike it, plus it doesn’t get much hair and is hard to clean unless there’s a bunch of hair in it. I’ll stick with the cat comb for hair removal.

   This item probably works well for someone with a large hand and a large dog. However, it is way too big for my and my dog so I can’t get good coverage with the mit. Not sure if I can return an opened package without being charged for it. The company really needs to make a smaller size – one size fits all is not workable. I can’t imagine using it on a small cat. Also, it has a horrible odor about it, like rubber tires. I’m being generous with a 3 star rating and giving the benefit of the doubt that it would work for a larger dog and person.

The handle alone was amazing. It was easy to use on our LARGE feisty cat, who always has the smallest yet nasty mats in his hair. This is the best de-matter we have ever used. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!
   ~Directions~
   PICK, DON’T PULL！！Most matted hair will break apart more easily if you use a picking action, rather than trying to pull a comb or rake through a hunk of hair. Correct picking technique is very similar to the technique we use to comb up hair in preparation to scissoring. You are lifting the tool in and out of the hair, not pulling through. Pick from the ends of the hair toward the skin, not from the skin out. The objective of picking is to loosen the hair.

   As a longtime pet owner whose pets really dislike being brushed, i can tell you that this “comb” is not overhyped at all. I’ve tried all manner and sorts of devices for grooming my border collie/springer/lab mutt. I’ve tried human brushes and combs, furminator like combs, combs built into gloves so you can make the pup think you are simply petting it when in fact you are grooming. My dog likes none of these. So it was that when i received my first dematting comb like this about a year ago, i was not at all hopeful. But here’s the thing…. the dog LOVED it. So last month when this company wrote to offer me this comb free of charge for the purpose of reviewing, I was thrilled.

   I should start by saying that not all of this variety of dematters are created equal. As already stated, the first one I received was wonderful. But i have gotten a couple of others that had sharper metal ends that I didn’t like as much. This one here is particularly smooth and my dog loves it. She will stand stock still while this comb covers every corner of her fur. It seems to be a Zen-like experience for her. She has a thick double coat and the piles of fur that we get after a coming session are nothing short of amazing. When we’re done (and you will never be done removing the hair because it will keep on coming as long as you keep combing) the dog’s coat will be shining and bright. I don’t know how, or why, but every time I run this over the dog she is left looking simonized.

   Besides the basic operation of the comb is the fact that this one comes with a bit of a gel like comfort grip. It is comfortable to hold for longer periods which is important because i am telling you that you will want to keep combing and your dog, if it is anything like my dog, will want you to keep going.

   BOTTOM LINE: As an indulgent pet owner, I’ve spent more than my fair share of money on grooming aids. While i received this one for free for the purpose of reviewing, I think the current price of twenty dollars is an absolute undeniable bargain. This thing takes grooming seriously. It is so easy to use and if your dog is anything like mine, they will love it and they’ll be left looking smooth and shiny when you are done. This is seriously one of the best bargains here on Amazon

   I ordered the Dematting Rake Comb for Dogs and Cats for my two Labs the need to be combed out during the spring when they are losing their winter coat. This is a Professional Quality Tool for Detangling Matted Hair, Deshedding, and Grooming. It is a two sided rake that has 12 rounded teeth on one side of the rake and 23 on the other side. Depending on how bad your pet’s hair is matted, lets you choose between the two side to painlessly remove your Dog or Cat’s winter coat or matted hair. It has a smooth Gel Handle that forms to your hand to Comfortably use while you are removing your pets matted or winter hair. I found it Very Simple to use and my dogs did not mind it at all when I was combing their hair out.
