   I am by no means a professional dog groomer (I like to pretend though!) I usually buy the cheap hair cutting scissors from the big box stores and they tend to get dull quite easily, especially having 2 shih tzus. Last year I purchased a rounded scissor to round out the bottom of my shih tzus faces and this was a magical tool, but that as well – needed to be replaced after only a month.

   This set from Gimars has everything! It has the straight edge scissor, the curved scissor and a thinning scissor. Not only the scissors, but it also includes a stainless steel comb, a cloth to wipe after using the shears and also a convenient heavy duty little case to store the set in! They feel extremely comfortable in my small hands, and are pretty silent when snipping. Also, note, they’re very very sharp.

   I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I base my review on retail price and if I would recommend this to a friend at retail price. I definitely would.

   This is a very nice option for pet grooming. While most pet groomers I’ve seen tend to use electronic tools, I found this set of manual scissors to be refreshing. They are designed to help reduce friction so that an animal’s hair can be cut without being stressed. These are specially designed to do intricate cutting and stylizing work – something that an electric shearer can’t do. I was completely amazed by the quality of these tools and at first glance, they could even be mistaken for human-grade barber’s tools. The tools all have good weight to them and the case they come in is a great, executive quality. A great option for any groomer and could even be used as a gift.

   Beautiful set that cuts very well and seems durable and sharp. It could be me readi g the descriltion wrong, but I thought this set was supppsed to have the thinning shears, straight scissors and curved scissors in it. I received 2 of the EXACT same curved scissors and thinning shears with the comb. All the scissors were just piled into the zipper case and now unfortunately I have to go buy a straight set. Probably a mix up. Haircut for the dog came out perfect, but was a challenge with just curved scissors.

   Otherwise cuts beautifully, and durable.
